Chairman's Welcome

Hello and welcome to our RoSPA Advanced Riders Merseyside and Lancashire Group website.

 

RoSPA is a charity whose mission is to make our roads a safer place to be. We as an Advanced Rider group are totally committed to road safety. We achieve this by encouraging and coaching motorcyclists to become safer riders irrespective of their experience.

We run several Advanced Rider courses throughout the year, during which we will help riders to develop their rider skills and Roadcraft. This will hopefully result in participants achieving the standards required to undertake the RoSPA Advanced Motorcycle Test.

​

 

There are many myths and misconceptions about advanced riding. We are just ordinary people who all give up our time for free to help other riders become safer. We, like all other motorcyclists, love to ride bikes. You will find that we are a friendly bunch who will do what we can to ensure your Advanced Rider experience is a positive one.

​

 

Our main focus is rider and road safety. This does not mean we don’t like to have fun riding our bikes. A rider who has received advanced tuition is usually quicker, smoother and definitely safer on the road.

​
